Aspen Ski and Board is my go-to retailer for ski gear. I am big fan of K2 and unfortunately none of my local shops carry a good selection of their skis. Over the past few years, I have purchased two pairs of K2 skis and new bindings. Both shipments arrived promptly. The skis were in new, perfect condition as advertised. Can't recommend them enough!
Mason provided the most exceptional service and advice we have ever received from a retailer. My son hurt himself the day prior when we purchased a snowboard from Amazon that literally fell apart while going down the mountain. We walked into Aspen looking for someone who could fit a super tall, big footed boarder who was on his second season.
Mason not only educated us on the different brands, products, and extensive research done by the manufacturers but provided the greatest advice not based on price but safety and experience. He didn’t judge us for trying to go cheap the first time and didn’t try to sell us on the most expensive products. We look forward to coming back and working with him on fitting my daughter soon.
I have recently posted a 3 star review based on my experience which had influenced by a pricing of a jacket and their current sales promotions. Based on the responses of the owner explaining what happened and the reason behind it, I have updated my rating to a 5 star as the owner of the company promptly resolved the issue.
This local ski/snowboarding shop has a wide selection of merchandise with various price points that is affordable to all customers. I would recommend checking them out.
Followup to me earlier review. Still disappointed with owner's response and comments. He had never spoken to me, inspected boots, or responded to my email when he wrote response to my review. I filed consumer complaints with the BBB and attorney general. Took the owner's advice and went to competition to get a second and third opinion. REI and Willy's at Seven Springs both said boots were not properly fitted. Chris at Aspen had sized me for 29.5 and 80 flex. Actually needed a 28.5 with higher flex. Willy's fitted me into 28.5 Nordica with 100 flex. Night and day control and comfort difference now skiing with proper fit, buckles do not come loose after a couple of runs. Wish I had these boots when I was in Vermont and New Hampshire over New Year's. Aspen finally agreed to follow Salomon's warranty policy and refund the cost of boots, but only after complaints were filed with consumer agencies.
Well who’d’a thunk to look for skis in OHIO? I found an amazing price on the skis I wanted. The staff could not have been more accommodating, helpful and smart about the skis, bindings and a pair of board boots I needed. I bought two pair of skis, bindings, poles and the boots for less than two pair of skis alone here in CT. Very impressed. Will definitely be back.
Repetitive and overly helpful staff ruined it for me. I've been to the store twice, almost exactly a year apart. I remembered I didn't like something about it when I got there this year and quickly remembered when I arrive when I was asked if I needed help 12 times (literally) in 45 minutes. I felt like I couldn't take my time and look at things I might want for this season without being repeatedly questioned, approached, or have someone hovering. Much of the staff seems to be 16-20yrs old and clearly wanted to work hard/put effort into their job - great work. But being over helped and repeatedly asked if I needed help made for dreadful time 2 years in a row.
The shop does have a great selection and seem to be priced fairly.
